Queen of Babble Gets Hitched- Meg Cabot

This is your standard chick lit fare, and the woman has written a ton, including the Princess Diaries (which is a fantastic movie that I ADORE). I’ve always appreciated a good chick lit because they are fun to read- easy to get through, amusing, a sympathetic protagonist, and characters that you can usually identify with. Plus, there is always a Prince Charming that you will inevitably fall in love with. Always. I have to admit, I read this all in one sitting, and it’s a big book. I really wanted to find out what happened! At the start of each chapter, there were amusing factoids about the history of weddings and how some of our most common traditions came to be, which I enjoyed. Thoroughly enjoyable- and while I will not go out to buy it to read again and again, I’m glad I took some time to read this particular brand of chick lit (as there are some truly horrific ones out there).

3 ½ bookworms.
